Check out the Shuck figurine!

Joe Tait, an outstanding artist in the Cleveland area, has sculpted a Shuck figurine - check out the photos on the front page of the website. Seeing Shuck in the third dimension was nothing less than inspiring - thanks Joe! I plan on painting the figure this week and posting new photos shortly thereafter -

Still working on Chapter 4

I'm still working on chapter 4 of the 'Shuck the Sulfurstar' graphic novel and have fallen behind because I'm working on a Sawlogs.net project right now - apologies. The daily Shuck comic strip still updates every day so you can still get a Shuck fix every 24 hours, if that's your thing.

Added Strip Navigation

I've added the standard navigation buttons for the daily Shuck comic strip found on the home page. This will allow you to cruise through the older strips, starting from the beginning if you'd like.

Slightly Late Update

Sorry about not updating last night - the heat in my house conked out (on Thanksgiving, no less), so we spent the night at Tania's parents' house. Page 16 of Shuck the Sulfurstar, Chapter 3, is now up - as well asa new daily.

Explanation for Shuck Becoming a Web Comic

See my response to Michael May on the Comic World News message board for the explanation as to why I've decided that printing pamphlets isn't a worthwhile venture right now, and where readers will be able to see Shuck in print again.

Shuck #2 Prop in New British Sitcom

Shuck the Sulfurstar #2 will be featured as a stage prop in the upcoming new British sitcom called 'The I.T. Crowd, described as:

Sitcom focusing on the office and home lives of two geeks who work in an IT department. This new series, due to broadcast on Channel 4 in a few weeks time, has great pedigree. The series is written and directed by Graham Linehan (Father Ted, Black Books writer) and produced by Ash Atalla (The Office)...

here.

Not sure when it airs, or as to where the Shuck comic will appear, but, well, there you go.

Shuck #3 Pencils Complete

Having liberated myself (or, actually, been liberated, to some extent) from the binds of any kind of print schedule for the foreseeable future (as it appears the issues of 'Shuck the Sulfurstar' would make a better package as a 350 page graphic novel as opposed to bimonthly pamphlets), it feels good to see that my wwork has become more prolific; as I only have to deal with FTPing a few pages every day.

New York Comic-Con

Damon Hurd and I will be at the New York Comic-con, with our new Temporary trade paperback. We're not sure yet if we'll have a table, but since Damon now lives in the Big Apple, we figured we couldn't pass up this new show and see how it goes.

Pencilling Shuck the Sulfurstar #3

I'm in the throes of pencilling pages of the next chapter of Shuck the Sulfurstar - which will begin appearing here on Friday, November 11, 2005.

Launching the new Sulfurstar.com has helped with inspiration - and the crazy numbers of people visiting hasn't hurt either ;).
