All About Shuck
Shuck is a devil, retired in a small town, trying to stay out of trouble.
Disguised as the neighborhood handyman, Shuck gets in adventures with the precocious little girl Thursday Friday, untangling the town from discord he unknowingly brought with him from Hell.
Meet the Cast of Characters
Shuck
(First appearance: Shuck Comics #1, page 1 (masked) and page 2 (unmasked))
Shuck is a devil - forced into retirement and washed up from too many failed escapades. He retires to the small town of Thicket, hoping for some peace and quiet, but the troubles of the Nether draw him back into the world he'd rather leave behind.
Thursday Friday
(First appearance: Shuck Comics #1, page 3)
Hedge Friday
(First appearance: Shuck Comics #1, page 5)
Thursday Friday and her mother Hedge also move into Thicket. They are bent on wrapping up the dissolute estate of Hedge's missing father and getting back to the big city. However - Thursday sees something in Thicket that she can't get in the city, and enjoys learning the ropes of a small town with the help of Shuck and her now-ghostly grandfather.
Abe Friday
(First appearance: Shuck Comics #1, page 1)
Having sold his soul to Shuck and then accidentally perishing on one of his strange expeditions around town, Abe is a ghost who can only visit his family occasionally.
Creeches
(First appearance: Shuck the Sulfurstar #2, page 1)
The creeches are the hellish minions who plague Shuck with troubles they bring him from Hell. Unlike Shuck, the creeches weren't banished for a millennium to the Abyss, and so can continue to toil away for the Nether. This usually comes to naught, as their efforts are typically misdemeanors at most and are only felonious when they rope devils like Shuck into their plans.
The ArchFiend
(First appearance: Shuck the Sulfurstar #2, page 14 - in flashback)
The ArchFiend is Shuck's old guru down below. Now that he's old, folks are saying Shuck will inherit his role as leader of Hell. Shuck wants nothing of the sort.
